Clementine is the place for quality food, music, drinks, art, films and community events. We provide an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and accessible to everyone.
We are also always seeking artists, musicians, photographers, amateur filmmakers, community organizers, grassroots journalists, and pretty much all types of creative folks that want to engage us and utilize our space. If you have something you'd like to share with us, whether it's some music or visual art or it's an idea for an event or gathering, please contact us!

After a very fun and successful Art Battle 2009: JMU vs. EMU, Clementine brings you the 2nd Annual Art Battle featuring new teams: Team ROCKTOWN (artists in and around Harrisonburg, non-college students) vs. Team COLLEGE (students, faculty, staff of JMU/EMU/BRCC/BC).
RULES: any medium, 1-3* submissions per contender
Send IMAGES to: events@clementinecafe.com w/ name, phone, team, # of submissions
Submissions Accepted: until February 22
Public Judging Period: March 2-18
Opening Reception: March 19
Winning team will be announced on opening reception night, March 19th 5-7pm. If it's a tie, we'll be forced to play rock, paper, scissors (best out of 3, of course).

The local Fellowship of Reconciliation chapter will host a public forum on "Better Strategies Against Crime." A panel chaired by local attorney Ruth Stoltzfus Jost will include retired Virginia Circuit Court Judge John J. McGrath, Commonwealth's Attorney Marsha Garst, county sheriff Don Farley, defense attorney Gene Hart and EMU's Center for Justice and Peacebuilding professor Howard Zehr, a restorative justice advocate. After a brief presentation by each, the panelists will respond to your questions and concerns.
If you want to eat at Clementine, come early to order so we can get started as close to noon as possible. A donation of $2 per participant will cover the cost of service and coffee/tea provided to all attendees.
